Hey everybody!
Here I am, still travelling to give shows, shows and more shows!
Two weeks ago, when I was in Moscow, my Russian fans organised a reception for me: I wanted to thank them for giving me an intimate moment to share with them, and also for my great “Swiss Flag Stéphane Lambiel” t-shirt, I love it!!
From Russia, I flew straight to Stockholm, Sweden, where I was taking part in a show the day of my 25th Birthday…I guess everyone has to work sometimes on their special day, but I was feeling a bit lonely in a hotel room away from my family and friends…and then 4 of my best friends from Switzerland surprised me by coming to Stockholm!! I was so so surprised! After the show, we went to eat and then to a nice club in town to celebrate. I’m really lucky to have such crazy friends!! Thank you also everybody for all the birthday wishes that I received from many people on my website or by other means: to know you are thinking of me on my birthday is the best gift!
The day after my birthday, I had to get up and go to the airport: this time direction Osaka, Japan! It was the last place I was going before a few days break back in Switzerland. The shows in Osaka were great even though I have no idea how I manage to skate as I came DIRECTLY to the rink from the airport and a 12-hour flight!! I think that I wasn’t really conscious when I entered the ice, but the Japanese audience gave me a lot of good energy, so I enjoyed it very much.
After a quick visit home in Switzerland, I packed my suitcase again: I’m now touring Eastern Europe where I’m happy to be spending a few days!

I got back to home from the extremely long journey in my life. Meaning Goal & Start. The final day I watched very many works of you. I noticed lots of great thing in you again .

We enjoyed the show in Krefeld very much. Your performances were so graceful and beautiful, the absolute highlight of the evening for me. ‘Ne me quitte pas’ was expressive, full of emotion and passion and it was fantastic to see ‘Wilhelm Tell’ live.
It was great that we had the chance to have a little chat with you in the break. You are such a warm and sincere person.
Hopefully your health allows you to continue skating and hopefully I will have the opportunity to see you again. Your art makes the world a better place.
I hope that you had a good trip back home and that you will take time to relax a little after your busy schedule.

Comment est-ce que je pourrais te remercier pour tout (y compris le gala merveilleux a Krefeld!), comment exprimer ma gratitude pour le bonheur que je ressens et la joie qui m’envahit quand je te regarde patiner? Comment te remercier pour ces moments magnifiques et inoubliables (qui, en plus, ne me laissent pas me concentrer pour travailler!) quand je n’ai rien d’egal a t’offrir, ni poemes ni cadeaux? Je n’arrive pas a trouver mes propres mots, alors je vais copier (de nouveau!) des vers pris dans des chansons qui me font penser a toi. Excuse-moi, je repete a chaque fois les memes choses, mais ce sont des mots tellement vrais! “Ich sage’s dir viel zu selten, es ist schoen, dass es dich gibt”!
J’espere que tu puisses te reposer bien maintenant (cela faisait quand meme plus qu’un mois que tu n’etais pas rentre chez toi!) et je te prie de prendre toujours soin de toi. I was thinking of when you were in hard situation. Recently I had body pain and spent sleepless nights. My hands were sometimes numbed but I could ‘click’. While I had been touching your videos and pictures, I could forget my pain.It already healed but I thought how you were hard and spent painful nights when you had difficulty in your body.

I have long been waiting for the moment to write you a long letter which could contain the words of thankfulness for that marvelous art you have been making come true on the ice. Those beautiful movements of your incredibly artistic hands with fingers full of tenderness and grace. Those unbelievable pas, your every movement makes millions and millions of women’s hearts live through every instance of your presence on the ice with tremble. I guess tears appear on every single girl’s face when she sees your immortal art. You are more than a figure skater, your talent and the power with which you realize that potential and the will God so mercifully endowed you with makes you a unique artist. You prove by your bright example, by your very persona, the high meaning of the name of the figure skating in French, la patinage artistique.
Nowadays I started to look at many things in life quite differently and this experience is due to figure skating. How it is fascinating to observe that this sport may change lives of thousands, millions of people. Figure skating can help a de petit enfants that cling to TV screens the very moment they see your ever unforgettable performance not to become reserved in themselves, but to believe in their own forces, potential, good fortune… Figure skating gives them a chance to develop the sense of responsibility and friendliness; it helps them not to stop dreaming, loving, trusting, and believing in something marvelous…
It is pleasant to perceive that they are-the growing generation-not wandering in the streets, stealing something, learning how to be undisciplined. They are changing for the better, because they want to be like their favourite sportsmen, like you are…
How strong is my desire to express my personal thankfulness for this to you!!! You are always showing a bright example of gentlemanship not only for young people, but for grown-ups as well, because you always prove that a human being is able to adore with such a great supreme devotion what he is doing. When he does it with soul, his life revives, becomes better…
I deeply esteem your stamina, dear Stephane, your manliness and devotedness to figure skating. I confess that I adore this sport in part because of your being the integral part of its development. I respect your strong will-force morale, your volonte. As one great man said: “Kindness lasts forever”. La bonté dure éternellement. Such people as you, dear Stephane, help others to become better. merci pour beaucoup de jolis spectacles en compétitions et aussi pour un de mes plus belles expériences – Olympic Ice Tour à Ostrava, à ČEZ aréna, c’a été hier. C’était fantastique, formidable et incroyable! =) Je suis très très content d’étre là-bas. Mais j’ai vu, que en fin, tu a eu une problem avec ta cuisse et aujourd’hui j’ai lu, que tu a terminé ta carrière =( C’est triste =( Je comprends, seulement je veux te voir encore une fois comme le champion.
Dans tout les cas, beaucoup de la chance en vie du patinage artistique et en vie personnel =)

PS: about Brazil, we are out of the normal circuit, but do have rinks for ice skating shows. What happens is that the only group that comes here, yearly, is “Disney on Ice”. But this is not the focus now…

I hope you had a safe travel to Ostrava. I was lucky to combine work with pleasure and visiting Kings on Ice in Praha. Due to flight cancellations I had the unexpected opportunity to attend the show in Karlovy Vary (a special surprise from my working colleagues) and believe me you have two new huge fans !! La Traviata in Praha and Jacques Brel in K.V. were sublime and of course the presentation with Evgeni, Michal Brezina & Florent Amadio a real highlight. I wish you a great show for this evening and hope you will be able to return to beautiful Switzerland this week for some rest. We finally came back by car (12 hours trip) and finally at work again …. but still dreaming about K.O.I.

You may have noticed that you have achieved so many fans here in Brazil. It’s true!
Although we, in our country, still don’t have a tradition in ice skating as we have no natural conditions for winter sports in general, be certain that your participation in Vancouver caused us a great impact.
As a consequence, I started to be interested in this amazing sport, but I have to say that you have something that attracts most of our attention. When I see any of your presentations, everything is pure magic, all elements (music, movement, dance, jumps, spins, costume, expression…) are in perfect harmony. I can imagine how much work and effort is involved, but you make things seem so natural and easy… I loved so much your programs presented during the last Olympic Games, especially “Ne me quitte pas”. I have never seen an interpretation so deep and emotional as yours.
Anyway, perhaps someday we will have the pleasure to receive your visit and to see your performances, live …What about considering this possibility in the future? Meanwhile, in spite of the distance, we can “be” near you thanks to your website and “you tube”.

It´s nice to read you enjoyed your birthday with friends which were really kind to come! I can imagine how lonely you could feel but this certainly made you happy
Reading about your a little bit crazy travelling…please slow down and take care of yourself. You must be really tired after all that travelling even if you like it
And this brings me one idea – if you spent nice time in the Czech Republic and liked it why not to come here once again? But come not to Prague but to the South Moravia, my region. Here is really nice countryside, you can use in-lines, bicycle, and walk or go to see some sights, castles….
I’m inviting you to come, thinking it seriously
